Pokeworks

Yesterday, my schedule was all mixed up. I got cancelled on by my hair dresser, so instead of getting my hair done (trust me, I was super annoyed), I studied calculus, listened to Hamilton Mixtape, and found my new favorite food: Poke bowls from Pokeworks!

Pokeworks.

In the past six months, poke bowls have been all the rage in NYC, but because I 1) am not cool 2) usually eat lunch standing up and 3) don’t have time / energy to carefully plan out my lunch, I had yet to find the time to go check out the new food craze……until yesterday.  And after the first bite, I fell in love.

A little bit of everything, taste, crunch, deliciousness. I totally get the craze!

So what is Poke? Poke (pronounced poke-y) is a Hawaiian raw fish salad. At Pokeworks, you pick your base (rice, salad or burrito),  protein, mix ins, additions, and flavors.  You can’t go wrong!

Tuna, salad, cucumber, seaweed. Rainbow food, rainbow happiness.

The chain, with restaurants in NYC at 37th Street, Seattle, Los Angeles, now plans to open restaurants near Grand Central, near Union Square, as well as in DC, Boston, Houston, and many more cities. Get ready for some fun times!

I just wish there was a Pokeworks closer to my apartment!

The options and my selection.

Walk, run, and order your poke bowl stat. It was a delicious lunch and I can’t wait for more. Have a great weekend, friends.
