Running Tools

Yes, I am obsessed with running. And food. And food that goes with running….so here are some new “tools” that I use for running (but not just FOR runners!).

Three new loves.

Three new loves.

Run Fast. Eat Slow.

As a Track and Field nerd, I loved the 2016 Rio Olympics, especially the Track events. I now follow a lot of runners on social media, and bought a cookbook from Shalane Flanagan (and chef Elyse Kopecky). The cookbook is GREAT, both in terms of the recipes and the photography. I highly suggest this cookbook, for non runners and runners.

My favorite new cookbook....not just for runners (PROMISE) but good, wholesome, healthy, whole food recipes. In the past week, I have made *FIVE* recipes and they are all beyond delicious.

Running Training Log

A dear friend from Oregon gifted me this training log as a goodbye gift when I left in August. I love it. Love logging down my mileage, getting inspired by quotes, reading training tips, and just feeling supported by the running community. The author Lauren Fleshman also has a blog that is highly enjoyable and informative.

Picky Bars

Nothing better than an Oregon company that promotes health and wellness! These picky bars are ALSO created by Lauren Fleshman. They are great for pre-runs, post-runs, during runs, or  on the go. I have them in my purse and eat them throughout the day when my blood sugar goes low and I get hangry.

A great, whole food nutritious bar.

There you have it, my new running tools that I love! Are there any “tools” that you love for your hobbies? And if so, what are they?
