More / Shape Women’s Half Marathon

This past weekend, I laced up my running shoes and ran my first half marathon in two years. Yes, I have run a lot of marathons since 2014, but a half marathon is totally different….and it hasn’t helped that I’ve been nursing an injury for the last 6 months (GROAN). But I did it. And in a fast time for me! And it was all part of a great event celebrating women. Enjoy the pics!

The perfect Spring day! After the race (and a nice long brunch with friends), we spent the whole afternoon in the park.

There you have it; a perfect Spring Sunday in the city. I had so much fun, running and being a part of the crowd. Definitely worth signing up for in the future!

And to one of the most influential musicians of my childhood, RIP.

  1. OMG THAT IS SO FAST!!!!!! Great job! So amazing, I can’t even imagine running that fast for more than three miles.

  2. Congrats! Your stats are incredible!! It was such a perfect day for a marathon in NYC that day. I saw some of the runners after they had finished walking around. You are motivating me to want to try a half-marathon now.

  3. I ran in this race too! My time was definitely nowhere near yours ha! Congrats on the time! I enjoyed the race.
