Glossier

I have been a big fan of Emily Weiss and Into The Gloss since the blog was founded in 2010. That said, when she created her own skincare / makeup line, I was reluctant to buy into the fad. Finally, two weeks ago, I caved into the Millenium skin care line, with its pretty pale pink packaging and snarky descriptions….and I couldn’t be happier that I did. I now understand the hype and popularity — it is that good. The brand, as described perfectly by Weiss herself is ” simple and effective but not too precious.”

I bought the Lip Stain (Generation G) and am ecstatic by the look and feel. It is exactly what I aim for and want in my beauty routine. A lip color that is “a soft, popsicle-stain flush.” It is matte, a stain, subtle, diffused, and sheer. OBSESSED.

Looks like a deep color, but comes across so matte and soft.

Multi tasking: taking a selfie and trying to apply lipstick....note, I am wearing ZERO makeup and slept 5 hours. TIRED, very very tired.

Just a hint of color. Makes me look a lot more alive.

I know I look horrible, but I love love love this lipstick.

Note: I also bought the cult-following Coconut Balm Dot Com, a salve that smells like vacation. I use it for my dry hands, a crack, my lips, anything and everything. It goes on thick but not greasy, smells divine, and hydrates for a long time. It is not cheap ($12 a tube), but it is the perfect addition to every purse, corner, desk and jacket pocket. Lastly, I bought the Soothing Face Mist. I have always doubted the effectiveness of face mists, but this my friends, I understand. I love to spray it on to wake me up in the morning, mid-day to add some moisture to my face, and at night to soothe my skin. Call me addicted to spray. Both those products are good, but hands down my favorite is the Generation G. LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE.

I have ordered and re-ordered. I know, I know, lots of money spent on these products, but I was happily surprised by how MUCH I love them. Give them a shot!
