Thanksgiving 2015

It is rare to find friends that are family; people you love unconditionally and can be completely comfortable with in any setting. Luckily, we have found our New York non-family family, so it was an extra special treat to be invited to spend Thanksgiving with them in Aspen, Colorado. HOLY COW was it amazing, perfect, and incredible. Take a look at our pictures (#humblebrag #sorryimnotsorry)!

The kids get along swimmingly. Best friends for life.

The three oldest kids (missing 5 month old little brother). They are wearing their special Thanksgiving pajamas, thought of by Alicia, who thinks of EVERYTHING always.

The kids figure out what to do at all times and really don't need that much direction. Notice in the background the gondola -- we were THAT close to skiing! Lazy man skiing to the prime!

PIcturesque playground. I am not sure if there is another playground in the world that has a better view.

The Aspen Mountain Club. We spent lunch at Thanksgiving there -- we took the ganja-ola up there, admired the view, and had a wonderful feast (#1) of indulging foods and treats.

Hot tub on the roof? Talk about luxury living to the max! Count me in for more of these spectacular days.

Thanksgiving dinner #2 -- YUP, two full meals for Thanksgiving, but this was the best meal of the day, week, month, year! Alicia is a fabulous cook and effortlessly made a kale brussel sprout salad, a squash kale gratin, a bread pudding stuffing, and cranberry sauce. Ken made the most delicious turkey I have ever eaten. A home run for all our chefs (I sat on the couch and watched). Hip Hip Hooray to the chefs!

Nothing better than sleeping children, especially when they are cuddling and loving one another in their sleep.

We also watched the World Cup Women's Finals, ringing cow bells and cheering them on.

Alicia is one of those people that you cannot help but love. She is uber stylish (check out her effortless style and ease!), so sweet, and the best friend.

It was an indulgent, delicious, heart warming, and loving weekend. We had the best time and so appreciate the generosity, hospitality, and most of all, friendship and unconditional love from our New York non-Natori family. We love you! Now, off to a great start to DECEMBER *tomorrow* (and holiday season starts ….and a diet, too). And for nostalgia sake, here is Thanksgiving 2014, 2013, 2012 and 2011 (2011 = hippy dippy Thanksgiving). Have a great week!
