Currently Loving November 2015

Can you believe we are full swing into November? I can’t. It feels like it was just Labor Day and ZOOOOOOM here we are to (gasp) Holiday season. In the past month, I have fallen in love with the following things:

1. Narcos

Narcos, best TV show since The Wire and Friday Night Lights.

Narcos, best TV show since The Wire and Friday Night Lights.

I am obsessed. Best TV show, both the acting, story plot, and the fact that it is REAL HISTORY. A perfect show to binge watch. It is based on the true life story of Colombian cocaine drug lord Pablo Escobar. Over half the show is in Spanish, so I feel like I am improving my language skills while also watching a fascinating thriller.

Can't stop watching. We have watched 8 episodes of the season (only 10 episodes) and not sure what will happen when over....

And yes, still watching Netflix on the computer until our new Apple TV arrives.

2. Davines Body Wash

Best smell.

I love all of Davines products, especially the rich body cream, the conditioner, and now THIS!

Plus, I like saying the name "OI"

3. Cotelac Sneakers

White with black sparkles.

I love my Stan Smiths, but I also love some sneaker variety. These sneakers are white leather with black and silver velvet bands. A modern and unique twist on a classic tennis shoe.

Works with every outfit!

4. Ballet Beautiful Arms

Don't be fooled by the old school DVD -- this thing ROCKS.

Don’t be fooled by the old school DVD — this thing ROCKS.

I feel a little (actually A LOT) silly when I do this workout video in my bedroom, but it is unbelievably difficult and you can feel your arms shake and twitch and BURN. I have no idea how Mary Helen does it so easily, but I want my arms to look more cut and shapely, so this 15 minute video will hopefully get me there.

Ballet Beautiful. Mary Helen was the one behind Natalie Portman's arms for Swan Lake.

There are four 15 minute segments -- my favorite is the arm one. No matter how silly I look trying to flutter my arms around gracefully.

5. How to make the perfect egg

Tis the season of Eggs.

Tis the season of Eggs.

I love these cookbooks, and in it, I found out how to make the perfect egg. FINALLY, I know how to make it!

Great recipes in this cookbook, and next up, I am going to perfect how to make a devil egg.

Great, explicit and helpful directions!

Great, explicit and helpful directions! Call me an amateur, but I actually never knew the proper way to make the perfect boiled egg.

So there you have it, my mish-mash of randomness that I am currently loving. What are you loving right now? Any songs that you are into (besides the new Adele song, I mean, HELLOOOO Hello!)? Cookbooks that you can’t get enough of? Perfume? Kids’ toys? Tell me everything — I want to know. Hope you are having a great week.

  1. Highly recommend Being Mary Jane, on net flick theres the movie and then theres 2 seasons…recently got into it….will check out Narcos…as for Stan Smith’s i hate all this bs attention they are getting – i have been wearing mine for 10+ years as well as my adidas shell tops so hate that everyone feels so clever for having “discovered” them …it only brings the price up and makes them harder to find …i often order them from footlocker directly when they have a bogo-ish type sale yearly, they don’t have in store but can order!
Ps who doesn’t love a good deviled egg or 2-3 times a year a egg salad sandwich!

  2. You gotta love finding new tv series on netflix…. but so addictive! Definitely justifiable though now with winter coming and the weather getting darker and colder. Enjoy!
