Lou Malnati’s Pizza

I am a pizza lover. I might even go out on a limb and say that I am a both a pizza fanatic and snob. I love pizza and could eat it every night for dinner, but it has to be good pizza. Not the type of pizza that they serve at kids’ birthday parties (barf) or the kind that is soggy / too thick / bad sauce / overly cheesey / greasy, etc….  But once I find a pizza I like, I am a devoted fan. My favorite pizza places in NYC are hands down: Marta and Rubirosa. But when I can’t get to those restaurants (my husband isn’t a fan of eating pizza for dinner — he prefers it for lunch or a snack — one of our few conflicts), I love a frozen pizza. NOT JUST ANY FROZEN pizza, but Lou Malnati’s Pizza.

Lou.

Lou. We love you Lou.

Sounds kind of gnarly, but I promise you it is too die for. I am not even a fan of deep dish pizza, but somehow, this pizza is different. It is crunchy, filling, soft, doughy, and so easy! You buy it online, they ship it to you, and you have it in your freezer till you need to use it. And then, voila, pizza for dinner!

Each pizza is hand-made from scratch with mozzarella cheese, vine ripened plum tomatoes, and fresh toppings layered upon a flaky, buttery crust. The pizzas are 9″ and serve 2-3 adults.

The different types of pizzas available are Cheese, Sausage, Pepperoni, Veggie (Mushroom, Onion & Green Pepper), Spinach, and Crustless (Gluten Free made with a lean sausage base). My favorites are the sausage and the spinach. (And I don’t even like sausage. Hate deep dish, not a fan of sausage, and yet somehow this sausage deep dish pizza is ridiculous. Oxymoron to the max!)

Slice of heaven.

I promise you that you will love this pizza. Order and save it for days when you don’t know what to serve for dinner, or when guests suddenly appear at your doorstep and need some food. Everyone will be impressed!
