Over the weekend, we went to the Lavender Festival on the McKenzie River with the family, including our nieces and nephews. What’s at an Oregon Lavender festival? Lavender. And a couple of lavender vendors. And, well…that is about it! That said, we enjoyed the scenery, smells, colors, and ummmmm lavender.

I must say that I thoroughly enjoy being a bumpkin and embracing the simplicity and quaintness of country living. NYC is a hustle bustle city, with bright lights, a fast pace, and 100 mph livin’. So, country quaintness and simple fairs during the summer months are a good balance to the rest of my year. I hope everyone had a good weekend, and on to another relaxing and restful week ahead.
