Lavender Festival

Over the weekend, we went to the Lavender Festival on the McKenzie River with the family, including our nieces and nephews. What’s at an Oregon Lavender festival?  Lavender.  And a couple of lavender vendors. And, well…that is about it! That said, we enjoyed the scenery, smells, colors, and ummmmm lavender.

I must say that I thoroughly enjoy being a bumpkin and embracing the simplicity and quaintness of country living. NYC is a hustle bustle city, with bright lights, a fast pace, and 100 mph livin’. So, country quaintness and simple fairs during the summer months are a good balance to the rest of my year. I hope everyone had a good weekend, and on to another relaxing and restful week ahead.  Happy Bastille Day!
