The Swell

Since winter doesn’t seem to be going anywhere (FML), I recently bought a sweater/jacket that I am totally in awe of.

I love that it makes me feel like I am in a cabin in the middle of nowhere with a lot of snow. It is warm, cozy, comfy, old-school, modern, hip, hippie, classy, ALL IN ONE!

With a tie.

With a belt to tie (no closure except for the tie).

Although the sweater is far from cheap, it is both a sweater AND a jacket. Warm enough to wear on top of another sweater and be out in the cold, or cozy enough just to be a sweater on its own. Versatile, check! A twofer (two in one).

Sleeve.

The sweater has bracelet sleeves (aka not full length sleeves but not 3/4 length either) and full seat coverage. Perfect for hiding your badankadank. Hip hip hooray!

Other sleeve (same exact thing).

The sweater is from The Swell, which is designed by Brooklyn-based designer Angie Chait.  It is handmade by third generation artisans in the highlands of Mexico.  It is a salute to my heritage! But with a modern take!

Sweet.

Sweet. I even love the tag, lettering, look, feel!

Cozy up with this sweater, and forget that it has snowed five bzillion inches so far in 2014. Is it Spring yet?? DAMN.

One last glamour shot. LOVE the sweater!!!
