OMilk is by far my favorite milk ever. It is made from NUTS, is thick and creamy, sweet and fresh and is made with care, love and mastery right here in Brooklyn. I don’t drink dairy milk but even when I did, it always left me wanting something different. OMilk hits the spot.
I stumbled upon OMilk in Whole Foods at Columbus Circle a few months ago, and have been hooked ever since. I drink it straight in a glass with a straw, or else use it in my smoothies. It’s super helpful when my blood sugar is low and I need to have something to regulate my system but I’m not ready for a meal. The protein and healthy fat does a body good. For that reason it’s been a lifesaver for me (in addition to being obsessed with how delicious it is).
OMilk comes in a few varieties: Cashew Milk (my favorite), Almond Milk, and Cold-Brew Coffee Almond Milk (another treat I love to enjoy). Their seasonal special flavor is Pumpkin Pie Cashew Milk. YUM! I love all things pumpkin and have to get my hands on this before they wrap it up for the year.
“OMilk is a scrumptious, healthful and totally natural way of getting your milk fix without the dairy. Whether you’re lactose intolerant, vegan, just into the healthier fats that nuts provide, or think this stuff is plain yummier than milk (like we do), we’re thrilled to be your answer. We provide a local, all-natural, artisanal product that can be used in anything from your morning coffee and cereal to a delicious nightcap. OMilk is a perfect protein-packed, post-workout drink or an afternoon snack when you’re famished at your desk.”
Here is my favorite smoothie recipe which is seriously enhanced by my OMilk:
1 cup frozen mixed berries or blueberries1/2 banana1 scoop Vega Powder (I prefer French Vanilla)1 scoop green powder1+ cup OMilk1/2 cup waterBlend and enjoy.
I usually get mine at Union Market on Court Street in Brooklyn or else near my office at Dean and Deluca in Soho. They also DELIVER to those of us lucky enough to live in NYC and Brooklyn. You can find OMilk at these other places if you’re lucky. They usually deliver a few times a week so check with your local shops to make sure you can grab a fresh batch! Check them out! Have a great week.
