1. Rock out to JT.

Drool.

Drool.

I missed JT in August when he performed with Jay-Z, so this time around, I have to go. Number 1 priority. It will take place on November 6th at Barclays. Nothing will stop me.

2.  Go apple picking and buy a dehydrator to make dried apples.

Fresh apple.

Dried apples.

To me, nothing tastes more like Fall than crisp, juicy apples. And apple picking is the ideal family trip — exercise, activity, and fresh air. This year, I am going to buy a dehydrator to dry them (along with other fruit) so I can enjoy them throughout the year. Easy to ziploc and freeze

3. Become blown away by bubbles at the Bubble Gazillion Show

Bubbles galore!

Bubbles galore!

Said to be the most “Unbubblievable” show in NYC! Although I am sure there is a large dose of cheese in this show, I am also confident that it will make both kids happy. And two smiley kids = one happy family. The bubble show takes place on Wednesday (11 and 2), Friday (7 pm), Saturday (11, 2m, and 4:30) and Sunday (12 and 3), lasting a full hour (no intermission). Tickets are not cheap.

4. Act like a country pumpkin and go to the Harvest Fest

Blue Hill Stone Barns Harvest Fest.

Blue Hill Stone Barns Harvest Fest.

Blue Hill Stone Barns is an unbelievable restaurant, situated on a gorgeous farm in Westchester. Harvest Fest, takes place on Saturday, October 5th with festivities for the whole family. It includes live music, a farmer’s market with delicious seasonal fare, hayrides, farm and food demonstrations and a square dance! True country pumpkin living!

5. Soar in the air with trapeze class

trapeze

I love the feeling of soaring in the air (because I have so much experience with being in the air????), so the thought of a trapeze class sounds fun, unique, challenging, and oh so freeing. I would love to take this class with my husband and hold hands in the air. Nothing says romance more than upside down kisses.

6. Be a real tourist and take the Staten Island Ferry.

Orange boat = dream come true.

Orange boat = dream come true.

Nothing says “NYC” and “America” more than the Statue of Liberty, so it is finally my time to have a Carrie moment. The Staten Island Ferry is free (HOLLA), runs every day of the year (most days every 15 minutes) and the trip is 25 minutes long. The best and cheapest route to see the Statue of Liberty in all her glory.

7. Gawk at celebrity Daniel Craig at the Broadway show Betrayal.

Relationships and their complexity are explored in this 1978 remake, this time directed by ten-time Tony Award-winner Mike Nichols

Relationships and their complexity are explored in this 1978 remake, this time directed by ten-time Tony Award-winner Mike Nichols.

Highly anticipated, this play will feature real husband and wife team, Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz. Hurry as it is a limited show and ends in January.  Opens October 1st.

8. Family Bike Rides in Central Park

Bike

Bike as a family. Need I say more?

Nothing is more relaxing than being together as a family in the outdoors. Especially with the fall leaves, the crisp air, good people watching, and exercise.

9. Dive into meditation and learn how to breathe and stay balanced.

Breathe.

Breathe.

For the past two years, one of my New Year’s resolution has been to breathe more and to meditate. This year, I am doing it. Like for reals. I am so giddy and excited about my Ayurvedic training that will take place the 2nd week in October at Laughing Lotus. Part of the training includes meditation, and I am excited to throw myself into the teaching and savor every minute.

10. Savor date nights at good restaurants with incredible food.

NYC

So many different restaurants that I want to try this season, which include: The Nomad, Lafayette, Pok Pok, Unami Burger, Harlem Shake, Brushstroke sushi bar, and Frankie’s 457. Just to name a few…..so many options!
